INSPIRE-PHC is responsible for providing consultation to Ontario researchers, knowledge users and patients regarding Primary Health Care research methods and processes. INSPIRE-PHC has a number of investigators available with expertise in the areas of: access to PHC, working with large datasets, geographical mapping, stakeholder recruitment and engagement, qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, grant writing, rapid cycle evaluation, including PHC in larger health sector grants and many others. The investigators come from a variety of disciplines: Family Medicine, Nursing, Epidemiology, Policy and Pharmacy. As well they can provide consultation on Capacity Building, Knowledge Translation and Exchange as well as Patient Engagement in primary health care research.

Research Consultation Guidelines

  • Consultation of up to 16 hours will be provided to any Ontario researcher supported by funds provided from the OSSU to INSPIRE PHC
  • Consultation of more than 16 hours would be:
    1. Charged by the hour to the requester/Project PI (for current rates please contact the INSPIRE PHC program manager),   or
    2. The person providing the consultation becomes a named Project co-investigator [mutually decided by Project PI and consultant] and may negotiate reduced or no consultation charges
